I’m reusing bottles from store bought beer for my homebrew. Most of the labels come off fine after soaking in cleaner, but I’ve tried several solutions and some labels seem to be made out of super glue. Anyone had any luck getting difficult labels off bottles?

Soak in hot water for a few minutes, peel off the paper as much as you can, then scrub with metal scrubby. I picked up some cheap metal dish scrubbers at the dollar store that I keep with my homebrewing gear that work perfectly for removing glue.

Patience. Soak them in hot water. No soap! No matter how much you rinse soap leaves a trace film. Kills the head on Beer. Using any kind of soap any time on any brewing equipment is a bad idea.

Soak overnight in hot water with PBW. Most label fall off overnight, then rinse, sanitize, and fill.
